The Oklahoma Heritage Association and the Jim Thorpe Association will jointly occupy the existing Mid-Continent Life Insurance Building near downtown Oklahoma City. The 40,000 square foot building is on the National Register of Historic Places, and will be adapted for use as a new museum complex for the two organizations. The Small Group and Mercer Associated provided a comprehensive master plan, programming, and schematic design services for this project.

The original building was designed by Solomon Andrew Layton, a prominent Oklahoma architect from the early 20th century
