The Small Group – Architects recently provided project management and full architectural and engineering services for Putnam Heights Elementary, a project with the Oklahoma City Metro Area Public Schools. The project consists of renovating an existing 36,000 square foot 1909 elementary school and a 7,500 square foot addition. Also included was a detailed construction phasing plan to correlate the school’s schedule with construction activity.

Thomas Small, AIA, was responsible for the project management of the Great Lakes Naval Training Center near Chicago, Illinois. One project in this complex consisted of fully renovating a 1940s era 30,000 square foot building and providing a 10,000 square foot addition to provide a training center for Navy Quartermaster, Signalman, and At-Seaman candidates. A functional indoor ship trainer was also part of the project’s design.
