Thomas Small, AIA, The Small Group’s Principal, has served as the project manager and lead architect for healthcare projects administered by the Sacramento District of the US Army Corps of Engineers. During these projects, he was responsible for a Life/Safety Upgrade plan developed to correct code deficiencies, a new emergency department, radiology & medical laboratory areas, and optometry & pediatric clinics.

The Small Group has also provided architectural and engineering services for the VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City and under a multiple task order contract for the VA Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Our design team provided a pharmacy remodel for USP-797 Compliance and renovations for an orthotics lab, X-ray and CT-scan site prep, and the design of a new surgery suite.
